Links About Helping Immigrant Children at the Border
No Comments

I can’t really think straight. I was planning on writing something else today, something about me, something about my life because that’s what you usually find here. But I can’t focus on that at the moment.

Honestly, I’m wound up because of Facebook. That’s why I’m writing this right now. I’m ashamed to admit it but it’s not even the crisis itself that made me angry, it’s the people defending it. It’s people saying that this is a Democratic policy (which somehow makes it okay?) or that this is the law and you have to obey the law and a million other justifications.

How can I be angry at those people and not do anything myself?

Something is better than nothing.

I donated $50 to RAICES, an organization that helps immigrant families in Texas. I’m going to call Representative Valasquez tomorrow. I don’t really know what else to do.

All I can think to do right now is spread information, so, here are a bunch of links with ideas about what to do if you want to take some kind of action.

And if you have any advice, I’m all ears.
